Hi Luis, I worked on a Ruby version some time ago but got kind of lazy recently (or maybe aliens abduct me every night after work). If you're interested I can give you the source. The main code is near completion but the port of unit tests is not complete. Also, the I18N aspects of SDL were problematic but it may not be your top priority. Also, latest distributions of Ruby might solve this. Keep me informed.
