[java-meetup] SDL

There have been a couple requests for this.  I'll look into adding velocity
like templating or EL within String literals.  The templates would have
access to environment variables.

How about variable substitution?

In shell scripts, it's common to do
MY_HOME=/usr/java
KITCHEN=$MY_HOME/kitchen

For configuration files, this is a must.
